Who we are
Nails by Aneka is a home-based nail salon. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, you can reach us through the booking form on this site or via our social media pages.
What information we collect
When you book an appointment, we collect:
- Your name, phone number, and email address, so we can contact you about your appointment.
- The service you've chosen, along with your appointment date and time, so we can book you in.
- Allergy details, but only if you choose to give them and tick the consent box — see "Health information" below.
- An optional message, if you'd like to tell us anything else.
- Up to 3 optional reference photos, so Aneka can see the nail design you'd like.
Our lawful basis
We handle your booking details — your name, phone number, email address, and the service, date and time you've chosen — because we need them to arrange and carry out the appointment you've asked us for. Under UK GDPR this is Article 6(1)(b), performance of a contract.
Health information
If you choose to tell us about allergies, that is "special category" information under Article 9 of the UK GDPR and gets extra protection. We collect it only with your explicit consent, which you give by ticking the box on the booking form — this is the condition in Article 9(2)(a). We use it only to choose safe products and methods for your treatment, and only Aneka can see it.
Giving these details is entirely optional: you can book an appointment without them. You can withdraw your consent and remove them yourself at any time from our Manage Your Booking page, using your email address and booking reference — or ask us to do it for you by getting in touch. Withdrawing will not affect any treatment you have already had. We keep a record of the wording you agreed to and when, so we can show what you were asked.
Bookings made before August 2026 may also hold allergy details you gave us at the time, under our previous booking form. If you'd like yours deleted, just get in touch and we'll remove them.
How we use your information
We only use your information to manage and confirm your appointment. We never sell your information, and we never share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Who processes your information
Your booking details are stored securely and sync to Aneka's own Google Calendar so she can manage her schedule. Confirmation and reminder emails are sent using Resend. This website is hosted on Cloudflare. Each of these services only handles the information needed to provide its part of the service.
How long we keep your information
Reference photos are automatically and permanently deleted 2 days after your appointment. Booking records are kept for Aneka's own business record-keeping.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. If you'd like to do any of these, just get in touch.
Cookies
This site does not use any tracking or advertising cookies. A single essential cookie is used only when Aneka logs into her own admin area to manage bookings. If you're simply browsing the site or booking an appointment, you are not given any cookies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
